Dhaka, Bangladesh: Visa has signed a strategic partnership with MetLife Bangladesh to provide comprehensive insurance benefits to its employees and their dependent family members. This agreement ensures that Visa staff receive financial protection in the event of accidents, disability, or death, while dependents are covered for in-patient, out-patient, and maternity healthcare services.

The agreement was formalised with signatures from Sabbir Ahmed, Country Manager of Visa Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan, and Ala Ahmed, Chief Executive Officer of MetLife Bangladesh. The partnership aims to enhance employee security, confidence, and loyalty through robust insurance coverage.

Employee Wellbeing and Productivity

Research from the Employment Benefit Trends Study (EBITS) highlights the critical role of financial security in workforce wellbeing:

56% of employees reported that financial concerns reduce their productivity,

41% linked financial stress to mental health challenges,

78% stated that wellness benefits, including insurance and mental health support, increase their loyalty to the organisation.

The findings underscore how integrated insurance solutions not only protect employees’ finances but also foster focus, engagement, and innovation at work.

Visa selected MetLife to provide employee coverage due to its proven track record in:

Efficient claims settlement and management,
